  • Anti-Bullying

    Edit

Gloucestershire believes that all young people are affected by bullying. We believe that every young people’s organisation and establishment should have an anti-bullying policy, and will be working with them to raise awareness, help and provide support for all young people on both sides of the bullying situations.

  • Elections 10

    Edit

UKYP elections take place every year, in every part of the UK. Any young person aged 11-18 can stand or vote in the UKYP elections. Once elected MYPs and DMYPs work closely with MPs, councillors, school and youth councils and peer group members on the issues of greatest concern to their constituents.

  • Youth Forum Links

    Edit

Across the county there are groups of young people actively participating in district / borough youth forums and councils. This page provides information or links to their work. The MYPs work as closely as possible with all of these forums and actively listen to their voices and opinions to influence their priorities.

  • Our profile

    Edit

Gloucestershire is fully committed to raising the awareness and create a positive image of the UK Youth Parliament to ensure involvement is not just limited to the election period. We aim to achieve this through the county manifesto, information boards, and through regular updates through the UKYP Glos website.

  • Manifesto

    Edit

The Members of Youth Parliment (MYPs) Manifesto clearly defines the priority areas of work.

Each year, newly elected MYPs identify 3 (sometimes 4) top priorities following consultation with young people around the county and review of the priority issues identified within elected Members Candidates Addresses.
