Gloucestershire believes that public transport for young people is a major issue in both rural and urban areas. Over the next year, we hope to improve services, lower fares, identify a single age for adult fares and allow greater access for young people. We are interested in a concessionary card scheme aimed at making transport fairer for young people. We actively support the national UKYP Fares Fair campaign.

Stagecoach Launch Young Persons Mega Weekend Ticket

Following discussions with the Members of Youth Parliament regarding young peoples concerns over public transport and issues raised within their manifesto, Stagecoach has agreed to trial a new Mega Weekend Ticket for young people on the weekend of 19 November.

If the trial goes well and young people utilise the ticket, then Stagecoach intend to make the ticket a permanent fixture.
