MYPs met for the first time, since the newly confirmed six, on Saturday, 27 February at the Wilderness Centre, Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire to complete an introduction / team building day.

Following recent selection for the U16 Wales Squad, Lance Randall who was recently elected as the MYP for Cheltenham / Tewkesbury Constituency has made the decision to stand down as he feels he would be unable to fully commit to both roles. We respect Lance's difficult decision and wish him success with the Squad.

Outgoing Members of Youth Parliament presented their achievements throughout the past 12 months and officially launched the Anti-Bullying Charter to an audience of friends, family, Councillors, MPs and most importanty the Elections 10 Candidates within the Council Chamber, Shire Hall, Gloucester on Thursday, 11 February.

A need has been identified by the Police Authority Engagement Worker to work with a representative group of young people to review, advise and monitor work relating to the Hear By Right (HBR) Standards. As elected members, reaching over 10,000 voting young people Members of Youth Parliament (MYP’s) are ideally suited to this role.
