The six elected MYPs for 2010-11 are nearing the end of their elected term. The MYPs will celebrate their achievements next week at an event attended by family and friends, representatives of organisations they have worked with throughout the year and MPs.
The event will mark the end of their term and enable MYPs to report on the progress and success made in relation to the priorities they set at the commencement of the year:
- Transport
- Positive Activities
- Road Safety
At the event, MYPs for 2011-12 will also be formally announced. As you should be aware, no election process has taken place this year due to the decisions made around the Government Spending Review and implications of this for Gloucestershire. Due to these implications, the number of MYPs for 2011-12 will also reduce to 3.
Current MYPs were asked to consider continuing within role, but some due to a variety of reasons are unable to, watch this space to discover more about the 2011-12 MYPs ...!
