On the 17 July Yahya and myself were offered an invitation to the annual forest youth forum conference, we were of course honoured to accept this invitation however unfortunately, Yahya was unable to attend.
The Forest Forum Youth Conference has been running for ten years and is a successful event with groups from the Forest in attendance and groups and speakers from other other parts of Gloucestershire made welcome to come along and speak or facilitate workshops, have fun and find out information about the youth groups which attend.
The morning started off with a couple of ice breaker games then presentations by the Forest Youth Forum, Kate Wyatt from the Forest of Dean District Council and there was a slot for the MYP presentation to be shown and elaborated on and specifically raise awareness to the Anti-bullying Charter created by last years MYPs. After all the presentations were given there was a brief break for what could only be described as an extraordinary feast which went down fairly well with all participating :)
In the afternoon there were several workshops on offer from Drama to African drumming and my personal favourite the music maker’s session. After all 3 sessions (which were chosen before hand from a list) were finished the day ended with a thank you to all as well as some really trendy goodie bags.
