The House of Commons event sparked off lots of passionate debate on issues voted for by 2,500 young people across the UK. Now that the debate is over and the UK Youth Parliament cast it’s vote on each motion at the end of the Debates as follows:
Should sex and relationships education be compulsory from primary school onwards? FOR
Should university tuition fees rise? AGAINST
Should the school leaving age be raised to 18 immediately in order to lower youth unemployment? AGAINST
Should we withdraw all British troops from Afghanistan by 2012? AGAINST
Should reduced transport fares for young people be protected from spending cuts? FOR
Would you have voted as MYPs? Feel free to add any comments.
